Riding Lessons Boarding Lessons-At Equine Connections we offer many services to the equestrian community. We offer riding lessons for both young and we'll just say those less young. In my riding lessons I emphasize both how to communicate with the horse and training methods because lets face it, if you work with a horse you are its trainer. Maybe a good one maybe not but a trainer all the same. I have many adult students that are just starting out, chasing their dreams and it gives me great pleasure to help them do that. Lessons are $40/hr. Training-I offer training for horses and owners with problems or for those horses that need to be started. I use natural horsemanship techniques to develop first communication and then a relationship with the horses that I train. Each horse is different and has different needs so I develop an individual program for each horse. $700/mo.(includes board) Day camp- Day camp is offered for kids 10 and up or kids that have experience and can ride with out assistance. Typically we do a morning lesson, have lunch on our very own Blueberry Hill, do either a short hike or swim, then an afternoon lesson and a short trail ride. I take a maximum of 4 students so the class sizes stay small. $60/day Trail Rides-At this time I offer hour long trail rides. I try to accommodate the level of the riders experience not only with the horse but by walking beside them on the ground if need be. All rides start with a brief leffon in the riding ring. I am working on building more trails on our property so keep checking back for progress reports. Trailering-I will haul horses short and long distances. $3.00/loaded mile Boarding-Options abound for boarding. We have both individual and group turnout, stalls or run in sheds. We aim to find a situation that works for both you and your horse. |
